Membership in the YWCA Annapolis and Anne Arundel County
Many people these days join organizations that further causes that they personally believe in. The YWCA has been at the forefront of gender and racial equality for over a century. Both locally and nationally, YWCAs are effecting change by providing women with leadership opportunities, health initiatives, family support, and the privilege of helping improve race relations. The YWCA Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is looking for like-minded people to become members, exchange ideas and continue its long tradition of making a difference.
The YWCA depends upon members and associates to help make that difference. Membership is open to women and girls age 18 and over. Membership entitles you to vote on important Association matters and also help support the work of the YWCAUSA and the World YWCA. Membership also entitles you to discounts on classes and programs that we offer to the general public.
SmartMoney magazine lists the YWCA USA as one of the top ten non-profits in which to invest. A higher percentage of donations go toward programs and less toward administrative costs. If you believe in our mission of "eliminating racism and empowering women", please join today!
