Overall Scope:
The Turning Point Program supports the Parenting program within Family Life Services. Responsible for working with high school students ages 11 –18.
Responsibilities:
- Work day is four days. Monday-Thursday
- Travel to Annapolis High School to assist in program.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
- Attend four field trips per year.
- Report suspected child abuse.
- Help students with homework.
- Ability to participate in room preparation, cleanup, etc.
- Attend committee meetings and YWCA staff meetings, as required.
- Others duties as assigned by Facilitator.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 yrs of age.
- Must have tutoring experience.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to work with people of diverse educational, culture and economic backgrounds.
- Ability to bend and lift 40 pounds, or the equivalent of a box of brochures.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be CPR/First Aide Certified.
