Standards for Excellence

The YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is proud to be one of only 78 non-profit organizations in the State of Maryland to have achieved the Standards for Excellence Award.  This is an award presented by the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations to those organizations who have successfully completed the voluntary peer review process known as The Standards for Excellence. 

The process sets high standards and reviews applicant organizations' ethical operations in the areas of program operations, governance, human resources, financial management and fundraising practices. The Standards for Excellence serves as a model of how well managed and responsibly governed nonprofit organizations operate.  The YWCA received its recertification in 2009.
